A Fun Look at our CASA Kids Superhero 5K

Our great 3-minute video was shot and produced by Wright Seneres of Inspirato Visual. The video captures the spirit of The CASA Kids Superhero 5K, held on April 27th at the Princeton Pike Corporate Center in Lawrenceville. Over $57,000 was raised for abused and neglected children in Mercer and Burlington Counties.  An amazing 21 teams participated this year, and with a large group of enthusiastic individual runners, kicked off the first of what promises to be a yearly Superhero 5K.

Welcome to CASA for Children of
Mercer and Burlington Counties

According to the NJ Administrative Office of the Courts over 13,000 children in New Jersey lived in out-of-home placements in fiscal year 2012. Over 1,000 children in Mercer and Burlington Counties pass through the foster care system because of abuse, neglect or abandonment each year. Their cases are brought before a Family Court Judge who may only have a few minutes to make critical life-altering decisions about their future. Family Court Judges need accurate, up-to-date information to make the right decision for a foster child.

This is where CASA steps in.
