The mission of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Mercer County is to speak up in court for the best interests of the 450 children in Mercer County who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect. They are living in foster homes, group homes or treatment facilities.  CASA works through trained community volunteers to insure that needed services and assistance are made available while helping to move the child toward a safe and permanent home.  CASA strives to improve the lives of those we serve by minimizing the child's time in the child welfare system and mazimizing the probability of a permanent home. CASA recruits, screens, and trains volunteer advocates to speak up for the best interests of these children in Family Court.  Currently there are over 450  children in Mercer County in out-of-home placements and our 125 advocates serve 25% of them.  Our goal is to eventually serve all of the children in need of a CASA volunteer.      Click Here To Watch Our Video
